Hindsight and New eyes

This morning I was reading excerpts from the writings of Charles Spurgeon. I came across this line.

Be as careful to retain, as to obtain and so at last the gains are great

Charles Spurgeon

I gave some thought to it, and realized that many times I let opportunities slip through my grasp. The temptation was to regret, and to fret. But hindsight is 20/20 vision, and I was being unfair to myself. Unfair to the new me that has a different appreciation for life, a more mature perspective of the tide that flows in the affairs of men.

But it did give me pause for thought.
