Last Summer, my dear friend, author Vanesa Pizzuto, recommended me to an editor in Europe who was working on an anthology. She probably oversold my talent, but I never say no to an opportunity to develop and share my love of writing. But this project felt heavy, as though there was a burden of expectancy to deliver my best. It took 4 weeks, and a lot of soul searching.

The project was simple; write a true story about a moment of happiness you encountered in the most unexpected of places. Last year wasn’t a happy year, having lost my big brother to Covid. But writing is a soothing balm in its own way…words are powerfully therapeutic. My contributing short story entitled West of Sunset, explored the moments that forced me to reminisce, but conversely also made me smile.
Had I known at the time, that this project would be made available to a global audience, or that the contributing authors were experienced and established writers and journalists, I’d probably have sweated it a lot more. All of them are incredibly talented story tellers, and I was honored and humbled to be even included in this body of work with such fabulous writers.
I am happy to announce that today the anthology is being launched in the UK and Europe, with an expected global release in the coming months.
A big thank you to Editor, Norel Iacob at the ST.network for making my writing shine.
To my friend, and cheerleader Vanesa Pizzuto who simply believes in my talent, and wants to see me hit my stride. And to my family and friends who tolerate my deep dives into my absurd imagination.
It was a great ride working on this project.
The books are currently available at Lifesource Christian Bookshop. I will share a US link once it becomes available in this part of the world.
